Advantages and disadvantages: Federal, Confederate and Unitary Systems of Government! The unitary government is often described as a centralized government. It is a government in which all powers held by the government belong to a single, central agency. The majority of all worlds’ governments are Unitary. For example, Great Britain. Some advantages of a Unitary Government are; uniform policies, laws. Enforcement and administration throughout the country. This is a huge beyond huge positive trait of a Unitary Government. Also, there are fewer issues between national and local governments. A unitary Government depicts greater unity and stability too. As far as advantages go, there are disadvantages as well. This government seems to be†¦show more content†¦This means that if the system wanted to create a new law due to things happening within its society, it would be hard to enforce the law because of the weak system. The power is limited, creating it harder for laws to pass as well. A federal government is one in which the powers of government are di vided between a central government and several local governments. An authority superior to both the central and local governments makes this division of powers on a geographic basis; and that division cannot be changed by either the local or national level acting alone. Both levels of government act directly on the people through their own sets of laws, officials, and agencies. A great advantage of this system is that it has a strong federal unity, and the government can actually handle local problems. The government officials also have to respond to the people who elect them, limiting the power to only the government. It can also devote more time to national and international problems as well. The people have more power in this system! Then again a system always has disadvantages too. Like the fact that there are duplications of services, and citizens living in different parts of the country will be treated differently, like what is taught in the schools and in deciding where highw ays and government projects are to be built. The Inclusion Of Spirituality Within The Counseling Process

Dr. McMinn (1996) explains in his book that a Christian counselor does not only use psychology and theology. McMinn believes that the inclusion of spirituality should be considered and limited only the intradisciplinary approach. It is considered intradisciplinary because it involves both the counselor and the client actively making decisions regarding therapy. McMinn explains that in order for the incorporation of spirituality within the counseling process, the counselor must have reached a certain level of spiritual maturity. The counselor is required to incorporate the different disciplines of prayer, sin, forgiveness, confession, Scripture, and redemption with the client. McMinn has chosen a model that is based off healing. McMinn explains that the goal of this model is to create a healthy self-image that moves into a sense of need, which will ultimately end with the client having a healthy relationship with God and their peers. This model promotes mental, spiritual and emo tional growth that is completed by accepting guidance from our creator. Dr. McMinn believes that prayer could be a vital tool in the counseling process if used both within and outside the counseling session; however, caution should be used when incorporating prayer. McMinn also stresses the importance of the counselor having his or her own time of prayer. It is heard even in the coldest, saddest lands. Hope is eternal and everywhere. The birds song of hope is even heard And on the strangest sea. Hope exists for everyone. In the last two lines, she informs us that the bird of hope asks for no favor or price in return for its sweet song. It asked a crumb of me. Hope is a free gift. All we must do is not clip the wings of hope and let it fly and sing freely. Its song can be heard over the strangest seas, coldest lands, and in the worst storms. It is a song that never ends as long as we do not let it.
